Three lines on the invoice, and one of them only once.
You're comparing a monthly fee against the calls you already miss. Here is every line you'd be billed: $850 once, $249 a month, and usage.
- Setup, once. The first invoice. Nothing is provisioned until it's paid. It pays for the toll-free number, the carrier verification filed in your business's name, training on your site and intake, the rehearsal drafts you review, and the shadow weeks at launch, when I read a copy of each outgoing reply and correct what needs it.
- $850
- Monthly. The agent, the number, the review pass on every draft, the owner alerts in Slack, and the usage report.
- $249
- Usage. The AI and the phone carrier, billed monthly from what you used. More missed calls means a higher line; a quiet month means a lower one.
- $20–$40
So a typical month runs $269 to $289 all in, and the first year, setup included, lands between $4,078 and $4,318. The terms are the same for everyone:
- Month to month, cancel any time
- 30-day cancel for any reason
- No free trial
- Your number ports out with you
- Conversation records kept 90 days
One request takes longer.
The standard setup is a toll-free number, because its carrier verification is the quick route, typically about three business days. One request falls outside it.
A local area code
Available on request. Local business numbers go through a different carrier registration, called 10DLC, and it takes longer than toll-free. Ask on the call and you'll get the timeline before anything is filed.
Otherwise, the three lines above are the whole bill.
All 7 paid agents, $1,200 a month.
Missed calls are usually one of several places work leaks out: slow replies to web inquiries, no-shows, unpaid invoices, reviews nobody asked for. If you'd hand off all of it, everything is $1,200 a month as one price. It isn't pitched as a discount. It's there so you don't have to decide agent by agent.
The full agent list has what each one does and costs on its own.

| Product | Published price | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Missed-Call Text Back | $249/mo + $850 setup, usage typically $20–$40/mo; no free trial | A text reply after the call rings out, from a toll-free number set up for you. |
| Jobber AI Receptionist | $29/mo add-on to a Jobber plan ($49 Core, $139 Connect, $199 Grow, $499 Plus, monthly) | An AI receptionist inside Jobber, for businesses already running their jobs there. |
| Rosie | $49/mo for 250 minutes, $149 for 1,000, $299 for 2,000; 7-day free trial; website texting $50/mo extra | AI phone answering, priced by the minute of call time. |
| Smith.ai AI Receptionist | Free for 25 calls a month, then $3 per call; Pro $150/mo; Enterprise $500/mo; month to month | AI call answering, priced by the call on the free tier. |
Podium, Birdeye, Weave, and ServiceTitan sell phone and messaging tools too, but none of them publishes a price. You get a number after a sales call, so they aren't in the table.
Read the table for what it is. Rosie and Smith.ai answer the call; this agent never touches the call and replies by text once it has rung out. Those are different jobs, and a business whose callers insist on a voice should compare receptionists, not this. And if you already run your jobs in Jobber, its $29 add-on is a small fraction of this price. Try it first. If it covers what you need, keep your money.
Price it per recovered job. Not per month.
The monthly figure only means something next to what one recovered caller is worth to you. Take the top of the usual range, $289 a month all in, and divide it by your average job. The table uses three example tickets; they're illustrations, not claims about your trade.
| Example average job | Jobs a month to break even | Net after one recovered job (revenue, before costs) |
|---|---|---|
| $90 | 4 | −$199 |
| $300 | 1 | $11 |
| $1,500 | 1 | $1,211 |
Seen the other way: if it recovers three jobs a month, each one cost you about $96 to win back. Add the setup for the harder test. Spread $850 over twelve months and it's about $71 a month on top, so the bar becomes $360. A $1,500 remodel clears that with one recovery. A $300 service call needs 2. A $90 haircut needs 4 rebooked clients a month, which is a lot of lost callers for a small salon. If you can't name that many, this is the wrong spend.
To run it with your own figures, use the ROI calculator, or read does it work for when a text back recovers a caller and when it doesn't. How agents like this are priced in general is in what AI automation costs. If a free fixed auto-reply might be enough, start with the templates.
