Nick George — AI Agents & Automation

What I'm focused on now

This is my now page: what I'm working on these days, the way I'd catch up a friend I hadn't seen in a year. I'm in Charlotte, North Carolina, working with businesses across the U.S.

Updated Charlotte, NC

Releasing fieldtwin

My newest project is fieldtwin: Jobber and QuickBooks Online, running on your laptop. Developers get a believable fake trades business to build and test integrations and AI agents against, with every failure on demand, without touching a customer's account. It's free and open source on GitHub.

Version 0.4.1 came out on October 15. It's faster to watch and to query. Where it's going next: more Jobber writes as their inputs reach Jobber's public docs, recordings from real sandboxes, then more vendors, Housecall Pro among them, and a benchmark for dispatch and operations agents.

Client work

For clients, I build AI agents, workflow automation and MCP servers for owner-run and mid-market businesses. Right now my focus is trade and service businesses: websites that come with an AI agent, prebuilt agents that each do one job, like texting back every missed call in seconds, and local SEO for businesses around Charlotte. Bigger builds start with a one-week operations audit.

Writing

Since July I've been writing Insights: straight answers on AI automation for owners and operators, like what to automate first, what it costs, and MCP in plain English. The newest, from October 13, is about five ways a Jobber and QuickBooks integration fails, and how fieldtwin makes each one happen on purpose. To follow along, there's an RSS feed.

This is a now page. If you have a site of your own, you could make one too. For the software behind all this, see my uses page, and for what I did before it, my resume.
