A free website check for Charlotte businesses, in plain English.
Give me your web address. I check your site and email you what I found, in plain language, most serious first. Every item is something I measured on your site. If I couldn't check something, I say so instead of guessing.
- Ten checks, from the security certificate to Google's Lighthouse scores
- I read every result myself before it goes out
- No obligation
Free · Results by email, usually within one business day
What I look at
Ten checks. Each one measured, none guessed.
01HTTPS and the security certificate
Whether your site loads over a secure connection and its certificate checks out. When it doesn't, browsers mark the site “Not secure.”
02Security headers
The instructions your server sends a visitor's browser about protecting them: which ones are set, and which are missing.
03Works on a phone
Whether the page is set up to fit a phone screen, where a lot of your customers will see it first.
04Signs it's out of date
An old copyright year in the footer, or outdated software running the site. Customers notice the first. The second can leave known security holes open.
05Tap to call
Whether someone on a phone can tap your number to call you instead of writing it down.
06A contact form or online booking
Whether a visitor can reach you or book a time without picking up the phone.
07Local search basics
Your business name, phone number, and address on the page, plus the page title and description search results show.
08Accessibility
Common problems that make the site hard to use for people with a disability, such as visitors who use a screen reader.
09How fast the server answers
How long your server takes to start sending the page once someone opens it. A slow start makes every page feel slow.
10Google Lighthouse scores
Google's own Lighthouse test, run as a phone: the speed score and the accessibility score, each out of 100.
That's the whole list. Every item in your email is something measured on your site itself. If a check can't run, say the page won't load or a test times out, the email tells you it couldn't be checked rather than guess at it.
What you get
An email from me, worst problems first.
What the check found, each item in plain words, with the most serious at the top. If something couldn't be checked, the email says so.
I read every check myself before it goes out. It arrives usually within one business day, at the email you give me.
There's no obligation. If you want help with any of it, book a call. If you'd rather hand the list to whoever runs your site, that's fine too.
What it doesn't do
It looks at your site the way a visitor would.
The check reads your public pages only. It never logs in, and it never fills in or sends your forms.
You don't give me a password or any access. All I need is the address you'd type into a browser.
Find out what your site is telling customers.
Send the address and get the check by email. Or skip ahead and talk it through: fifteen minutes on the phone about your site and what you'd want it to do.
